Graduate Assistant Center for First-Generation Social Work Student Success

Part-time (10 hours per week).

Primary Purpose

Under the guidance and supervision of the Center for First-Generation Social Work Student Success Director, the Graduate Assistant will assist the Director in a research project, program administration, recruitment efforts, and the assistance and management of an apprentices (student) cohort.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • A work schedule 10 hours per week.
  • Assist Director on a pilot study research project.
  • Assist in any recruitment events or efforts for the Center.
  • Manage the Center's space.
  • Provide program support to apprentices as directed by the Director.
  • Provide administrative support to the Center.
  • Participate in monthly meetings when able.
  • Participate in monthly support group gatherings when able.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • MSW students in good academic standing.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organization skills.
  • Ability to work independently, and receive and make use of supportive feedback.
  • Computer skills – Microsoft Office.
  • Good research skills which special attention to data analysis.
