Graduate Assistant Center for First-Generation Social Work Student Success
Part-time (10 hours per week).
Primary Purpose
Under the guidance and supervision of the Center for First-Generation Social Work Student Success Director, the Graduate Assistant will assist the Director in a research project, program administration, recruitment efforts, and the assistance and management of an apprentices (student) cohort.
Duties and Responsibilities
- A work schedule 10 hours per week.
- Assist Director on a pilot study research project.
- Assist in any recruitment events or efforts for the Center.
- Manage the Center's space.
- Provide program support to apprentices as directed by the Director.
- Provide administrative support to the Center.
- Participate in monthly meetings when able.
- Participate in monthly support group gatherings when able.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- MSW students in good academic standing.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organization skills.
- Ability to work independently, and receive and make use of supportive feedback.
- Computer skills – Microsoft Office.
- Good research skills which special attention to data analysis.
