Learning Outcomes
The assistantship provides the student with the opportunity to learn about pedagogy, lesson planning, working with undergraduate students, and working with rubrics and grading. We would also find the graduate student at least one opportunity per semester to guest-lecture in a full-time faculty member鈥檚 class and receive feedback on their teaching, enabling them to develop pedagogical skills and a teaching portfolio. In addition, the assistantship would help solidify the student鈥檚 writing, methodological, and software skills to a high level of expertise.
Preferred Availability
Hours are flexible but we prefer a mix of day and evening availability; most work must be completed on weekdays and will involve presence on campus, though some hours can be scheduled remotely.
