Why Community and Public Health Promotion? | Why Our Program?
- This multidisciplinary Bachelor of Science program incorporates elements of biology, health and physical education, nursing, psychology, sociology, and more.
- Choose from three concentrations: public health promotion, health and aging, and women’s health.
- Students engage in experiential learning opportunities at organizations such as the Rhode Island Department of Health and the Providence Community Health Center.
- Topics covered in the include: Human anatomy; nutrition; social psychology; health and aging; social work; environmental health.

Coming from a family who is predisposed to heart disease, high blood pressure and diabetes, my goal is to own my own cardiac rehab facility to provide rehab services at a lower cost for individuals in the community."
