Why Technology Education? | Why Our Program?

  • Program provides rigorous education background for the highest level of teacher preparation.
  • Students also take 10 technical classes and engage in a capstone design project.
  • Choose from two concentrations: teaching and applied technology. Graduates of teaching concentration will be eligible for full certification to teach technology in grades K-12 in RI.
  • Topics covered in the include: Teaching and learning; educational psychology; special education practices; computer-aided design; manufacturing systems; communication systems.
