The Learning Partnership for Children鈥檚 Services (LPCS) is a partnership between 麻豆原创 and the Rhode Island Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) to support ongoing training needs, capacity building, and the internship to employment pipeline for public child welfare in Rhode Island. Primary Project Goals
- Support continuous development of robust ongoing training opportunities for DCYF staff
- Evaluate and assess ongoing training needs of DCYF staff
- Provide ongoing technical assistance to DCYF CORE-I New Worker training program
- Incorporate and oversee 麻豆原创 School of Social Work Faculty involvement in providing and evaluating training
- Co-lead DCYF Internship to Employment opportunities
Meet Project Director Stan Brajer, MSW, LCSW
Stan Brajer has 15 years of experience in Social Work in a variety of positions and currently serves as the Project Director for the LPCS. His previous work has involved managing multiple Massachusetts Department of Children & Families (DCF) contracts connecting DCF staff to the community, coalition-building, and supporting children and families with the goal of preventing child abuse & neglect. He has also worked with families involved in the child welfare system conducting home visits, parenting groups, employment support and court advocacy. He received his MSW from Monmouth University in West Long Branch, NJ and BS in International Business from the University of Rhode Island
