Why Communication? | Why Our Program?

  • Our program prepares students for careers in media (TV, video, podcasting/radio, streaming, social, journalism, sports, entertainment and digital) as well as advertising (marketing, public relations).
  • Our two minors in communication and digital media production allow students in other disciplines to augment their education.
  • Students may gain hands-on experience in our on-campus multimedia production studio and join our student-run media organizations: The Anchor (newspaper), ANCHOR-TV and WXIN (radio).
  • Topics covered in the include: advertising, media ethics, social media communication, audio production, digital video production and sports reporting.
