Why Modern Languages? | Why Our Program?

  • Foreign language skills open opportunities for work in other parts of the world and help you connect with other places and cultures.
  • We offer five concentrations in modern languages: French, Francophone studies, Latin American studies, Portuguese and Spanish.
  • Our minors are available in all of the above, plus Italian. Courses in Arabic, German and Russian are also available.
  • Topics covered in the include: applied grammar, conversation and composition, cultural anthropology, global politics, international literature and world history.
