Our Emergency Communication Process

During any significant weather event or emergency, a​lerts will be posted to the official Â鶹ԭ´´ website and sent by text message to all Â鶹ԭ´´Alert subscribers. Additionally, pertinent information will be available on Â鶹ԭ´´â€™s social media accounts and on local radio and TV stations.

It is recommended that all campus constituents register for the college notification system. Learn more about the Â鶹ԭ´´Alert system.​ In the event of adverse weather conditions (such as snow, flooding, hurricane, tornado, fire, power outages) affecting classes or travel, the college will provide notification to employees after consultation with the division of Administration and Finance and the National Weather Service. Employees should consult the college's Adverse Weather Policy for more information. 

In the event of delays or class/college closures, Â鶹ԭ´´ will post information in accordance with the class cancellation / college closing policy.

In addition to the Â鶹ԭ´´ website, notices will be posted:

• with local radio and television stations through the Rhode Island Broadcasters ​Association consortium
• via text messages using Â鶹ԭ´´Alert - the Â鶹ԭ´´ Emergency Notification System
